Wilsden Warriors put in another strong performance to come out on top against a determined Sandy Lane team. Due to some un-availabilities, the Warriors had some colleagues from the Eagles team help out this week, but it didn't seem to have an adverse effect, as the Wilsden team played some good football.
The first half was very even, with only a few chances, and mainly the Sandy Lane cat-like keeper saving some powerful drives from Oliver Alderson. However, the breakthrough came when James Oliver fired home from close range, only for Sandy Lane to equalise almost directly from the re-start. From that point on though Wilsden were always on top. Sidney Richardson got his first following a goalmouth scramble, and then Oliver Alderson scored with a nice lob following good work from Mason Brown. Joe Pell was then denied by the last defender, but the goal-scoring was finished when Sidney Richardson fired home his second following good build up play from Ben Chapman.
An all-round good performance from an improving team. Keep up the good work boys.
